Feedback - 2008

Thanks for a great event.  It gets better every year.  Also thanks for dinner.  I appreciated your insight on how high to set the bar for IW in healthcare. The last roundtable was great – a big idea came out it.

Thank you very much for including Proteus in the WLSA event – it’s a very powerful forum to help generate change.

Proteus Biomedical

We all had a very productive time.  I have lots of connections to make across JnJ. Thanks for taking such a leadership role in this space for a great event.

Loved your conversation this morning.  Particularly your reference to the “Quicken” of healthcare. Clearly what Don Jones has been coaching me to build for the last 3 years..

The best one-day program I have ever attended. Each presentation was practical and broke new ground in terms of content and strategic direction.

Peter Boland, Ph.D.

BeWell Mobile Technology

…what a hotbed of ideas and innovation is in this room! And there were - virtually all of the modalities and care environments were represented or being debated.

I speak the obvious when I note how important the healthcare unbound sector will be, but it was underscored by Paul Jacob's involved presence for the entire day. I have been to dozens of conferences over the years, and even when a Fortune 500 company is a key sponsor, the CEO drops in, gives a speech and then is gone. Not this time.

It truly was the most intellectually stimulating two and half days I have spent in the last two years of involvement in this industry, so a lot of credit goes to you all for your careful selection of topics and invitees.…your event was (also) an excellent showcase for European companies looking to US markets…

Networking continues to be a major and significant benefit of this meeting. I meet some old friends and made some new contacts. I know of no other meeting or trade show with the breadth of high level attendance.

The summit was fantastic. The free exchange of ideas with thought leaders in a relaxed and open setting was very powerful.

Feedback - 2006

The Summit was an ideal forum to talk with CEOs of innovative life sciences and wireless companies who have launched, or who are working on, convergence solutions. It provided us with an opportunity to explore strategic partnerships and it was a very valuable use of my time.

Paul Jacobs

Chief Executive Officer, QUALCOMM

Truthfully, I cannot remember a meeting in which I learned so much while having such a great time. It was an honor and a pleasure to participate...I think that the concept of having a VC-focused meeting in the fall and another tech summit next spring is an excellent one.

Theodore J. Torphy, Ph.D.

Corporate Vice President,
Head, Corporate Office of Science & Technology,
Johnson & Johnson

It was a wonderful event with great networking value. The only suggestion I have is to add some investment elements to the mix, which will attract top management and make it more vibrant. San Diego is the epicenter of wireless technologies and a hotbed for biotech. There’s a potential to establish this Summit as the event for high-caliber investors and companies in the wireless health area.

Joel Zhou

Business Development Director, General Atomics

I thought this was an excellent start to the evaluation of a potentially vital area of international concern; all nations need to reduce the costs of health care and improve its quality. The above area is a vital strategic input to help make this happen. We need to keep talking.

Peter Farrell

President and CEO, ResMed Corporation

The Summit was an outstanding event. From my perspective it was a positive learning event. There was much that was positive and very little that was negative. Limiting the attendance to “C” level leaders is a good step. There was ample opportunity to network with Customers, potential Customers, and possible strategic partners.

Excellent event. Excellent content, and great contacts for networking. Event duration and location were perfect.

Debora Rozman

President and CEO, Quantem Intech, Inc.

The conference in a word was nothing short of awesome! The technologies presented provoked a good deal of thought (a stated purpose of the conference) regarding our business model and how some emerging technologies may provide help and efficiencies.

Steve Kenney

President and CEO, eStudySite

I greatly enjoyed the meeting, and learned a tremendous amount about how wireless technologies are evolving, and now they can be put to use to benefit the healthcare industry.
